Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is picking a fight with the worst possible Trump official she could beef with: border czar Tom Homan.
During the virtual event “Know Your Rights With ICE,” live-streamed Tuesday on Ocasio-Cortez’s Facebook page, the congresswoman gave illegal aliens advice on how to handle a raid from ICE on their home or workplace. Ocasio-Cortez’s government website has also featured guidance on how illegal aliens can avoid the feds, with tips such as “You do not have to open the door,” “You can ask them to leave,” and “You can stay silent.”
Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar who has been conducting ICE raids across the country, addressed Ocasio-Cortez’s stunt Thursday night, suggesting the lawmaker may ultimately face consequences.

“You got AOC out there, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, congresswoman, putting out a webinar, doing a webinar to help illegals avoid, I guess, apprehension, giving tips about how to continue to remain in the country, and ultimately gain the system,” Fox Host Laura Ingraham said.
“I sent an email today to the Deputy Attorney General, at what level is that impediment? Is that impediment? I’m not an attorney, I’m not a prosecutor,” Homan replied. “Is that impediment? Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts? If so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line? So I’m working with the Department of Justice and finding out, where is that line that they crossed? So maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now, but I need the AOG to opine on that, because there’s an impediment, it’s impediment in my opinion, I’m not a prosecutor, but we need some further guidance on that.”
Naturally, Ocasio-Cortez couldn’t help herself, and later Thursday, she mocked Homan’s remarks, kicking off a spat with one of the government officials.

AOC should lay off the immature provocations. If you are going to help illegal aliens dodge a raid, maybe don’t draw even more attention to yourself than you already have. Homan is not a dude you should mess with so flippantly.
But, of course, that is simply impossible for AOC. If there is one thing she loves more than lawlessness and chaos, it’s attention. She is not a serious politician after all, just a basic, Millennial influencer.
